As the 2023 racing season comes to an end, Kevin Rogers of KR Promotions, LLC, is stepping down as General Manager at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway presented by Genuine RV.
"This has been a great opportunity for me, and I am thankful and grateful for the opportunity that Donnie Powers, qwner of the speedway, has given me,” said Rogers. “Going into the 2023 season, I knew the challenges ahead and what the expectations would be. I believe the staff rose to the occasion and we continually made gains weekly. The staff has done an incredible job all season long.”
The Ark-La-Tex Speedway presented by Genuine RV is a staple in the motorsport’s community. Gene Boyter built and managed the facility for years, and Powers purchased the Vivian, La., speedplant in 2022.
“Some of the toughest competitors in the country call the speedway home, and it was a pleasure watching all of the talented competitors compete each night of the season,” Rogers added. “I would put these drivers up against anyone in the country.”
After the 2023 season, Rogers will turn his focus back to KR Promotions events.
“I want to get back to event-based promotions going forward. I have been working hard on the 2024 schedule and I am excited about all the events we have on the books.”
Included on the 2024 schedule will be the inaugural Ninety 9 Nationals at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., and a few other events that will be released after the first of the year.
“I have always enjoyed the events. We have been working on the Ninety 9 Nationals for over a year now and are excited to see it come to life.”
Along with KR Promotions, Rogers is involved in several other businesses.
“We have a lot of irons in the fire you could say. We own KR Performance Fuels, KR Live Music and WinTech.tv. There is just so many hours in the day to get everything done.”
