 The Reaper rolled off from the pole for Saturday's 50-lap "A" Main. From the drop of the green, he took command of the field for the first 8 laps but on a lap-9 restart the fan blade broke, which inevitably broke the water pump off of the Tri Star powerplant, ending the bid for a third King of America crown. Thank you to all of our fans that bought new apparel this weekend, we will be restocking and ready for the next event.

 On a rough race track, Ryan went from sixth to fourth in his heat race and then finished second in his Real Racing Wheels "B" Main. However, mechanical problems led the team to opt not to start the main event. Up next is the 7th Annual USMTS Cajun Clash at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La.

 Finished 5th on Thursday

 Ryan competed in the 7th Annual USMTS Cajun Clash at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., April 11-12. On Thursday, he started 7th in his heat race and finished 1st. In the "A" Main, he started 6th and finished 5th. On Friday, he started 5th in his heat race and finished 2nd. In the "A" Main, he started 7th and finished 4th. Saturday's event was rained out.

NCRA Modifieds

 Finished 15th in Main Event

 Ryan made a visit to the 81 Speedway for the NCRA Modified opener. He won his heat race and started ninth in the A-Main and took the lead on lap 6. Late in the race in lapped traffic, two lapped cars made contact and cut the right rear tire on the No. 19R machine. "The Reaper" held them off on the last restart, but the tire gave out on the final lap resulting in a DNF. Thank you to all the fans that came down and bought shirts and visited. Catch us in action this Thursday at 81 Speedway, Friday at the Kansas State Fairgrounds and Saturday at Longdale Speedway as we return to USMTS action.

 A 4th place finish in his heat race left Ryan on the pole for his "B" Main, but mechanical troubles dropped him to 6th in the final running order and he was unable to get the car repaired in time to take the green flag in the "A" Main.

 In the Rivercity Rumble Ryan won his heat race which gave him the sixth starting spot in the feature. He advanced through the field to finish second in the feature.

2nd Annual Dale DeFrance Memorial - IMCA Modified

 Finished 2nd in Main Event

 The Dale DeFrance Memorial race was held at the Marshalltown Speedway on a rare Thursday night during the Central Iowa Fair. Drivers in all classes were running for bigger payoffs, huge trophies and many contingencies brought about by the hard work of both families to honor the legendary racer. Jeff Aikey sailed to the win in the IMCA Modified feature with Ryan chasing him most of the distance but had to settle for second at the checkers.

 Finished 20th on Friday
 Finished 3rd on Saturday

 After a disappointing showing on Friday, the team got repairs made to The Reaper's ride and he rolled to a heat race win on Saturday. After starting 10th on the grid, he climbed as high as 2nd and crossed the finish line with a 3rd place paycheck.

 Ryan raced from 8th to 4th in his heat race, and then drew the 9th starting spot for the main event but 22 laps into the 40-lapper, his night was over and he settled for a 23rd-place paycheck.

 After a second-place finish in his heat race, Ryan started the main event from the seventh position and was up to second and battling for the lead when mechanical woes knocked him out of the race.

 Ryan finished third in his heat race and drew the outside of the front row for the feature. He led early on and then while battling Rodney Sanders for the lead, both drivers spun and Terry Phillips squirted into the lead. 'The Reaper' haunted Phillips the rest of the way but settled for runner-up money at the pay window.

 With his Hughes Racing Chassis No. 19R a complete mess after Friday night's melee, Ryan hopped behind the wheel of Chris Kratzer's car, which happens to be the same machine 'The Reaper' raced during the 2017 season. The track, however, did not cooperate and it was a follow-the-leader race from start to finish. Ryan wound up ninth at the checkers.
